"Taiwan International Fastener Exhibition 2020" Digital Value-added Services - Embrace Global Business Opportunities

The third largest in the world and the second largest in Asia, the "6th Taiwan International Fastener Exhibition" (Fastener Taiwan 2020) was originally scheduled to be held in April this year. Considering the participants' safety and health and complied with the Taiwan government's epidemic prevention policy, the organizer decided to postpone the exhibition until October 14-16 at Kaohsiung Exhibition Hall. The Organizer expects to provide better exhibition quality and experience.

The new coronavirus (COVID-19) affects the global supply chain of various industries. This has seriously undermined the progress of the global economy this year. For Taiwan, electronic components, mechanical equipment, automotive components, tourism and petrochemical industries are the most affected. Faced with global trade challenges, Fastener Taiwan's organizer provides value-added services to exhibitors and buyers, hoping to assist companies in fighting travel restrictions and ongoing transformation and innovation during difficult times.

Taiwan's External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) will upload the Taiwan fastener industry profile and 2020 Fastener Taiwan highlights video via TAITRA's YouTube channel, exhibition official website and Facebook page at the end of April, providing international buyers with a more in-depth understanding of Taiwan's fastener industry and the show. In addition, TAITRA will host the Fastener Taiwan Online Exhibition on the Taiwan Trade Platform for the first time. With a targeted marketing strategy, the platform provides online and offline integration services for exhibitors during the exhibition period. Interested buyers can use this platform to search for suitable suppliers and create more business opportunities.

2020 Fastener Taiwan attracted more than 420 exhibitors with nearly 1,200 booths. The Organizer plans an outdoor exhibition area for the first time. Exhibits include fastener tools, production and testing instruments, standard parts such as hardware fasteners and wire materials, as well as high-value fastener products such as automobiles, aerospace, telecommunications, and medical equipment.

This year’s exhibitors include Shifeng Screws, a leading company that introduced automated manufacturing in 2011, providing fast and stable shipment quality; ZYH YIN Co., an important supplier of furniture screws for IKEA; QST Int'l Co., among the world's top ten automotive fastener manufacturers, striding into the field of high-end fasteners such as aerospace and wind power; CHUN YU Works & Co., a leading fastener wire manufacturer. It has developed lightweight new products such as titanium screws, which can be used in automotive, aerospace, biomedical and other fields. Other well-known industry players such as Yunsheng Industry, Samsung Technology, Ruihu Enterprises and Taiwan Steel, will join the grand event.

Taiwan's fastener industry has evolved for over 60 years. Its annual output value has exceeded NT$120 billion since 2014. Taiwan is the third largest screw nut exporter in the world. It has one of the most concentrated production screw nuts clusters and provides a complete supply chain - upstream, mid and downstream. Taiwan's fastener industry is expected to continue to grow steadily with strong production advantages, R&D and manufacturing capabilities.
