2^nd Caspian International Plastics and Rubber Exhibition

From 15-17 May, Plastex Caspian 2012, the 2^nd Caspian International Plastics and Rubber Exhibition, will take place at Baku Expo Centre. Plastex Caspian is part of the world-famous Plastex exhibition brand, which incorporates the highest-profile plastics exhibitions of Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other nations. The exhibition offers an excellent opportunity for networking and the conclusion of mutually beneficial contracts with prominent international leaders across the entire polymers industry, from manufacturers of hardware for processing plastics and rubber to producers of raw materials and aggregates. Manufacturers of finished products will also be represented from across all sectors that use plastics and rubber: from construction work to furniture, from car parts and yachts to household appliances.

The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organisations of Azerbaijan Republic and Azerbaijan Export & Investment Promotion Foundation.

The exhibition will be divided into the following themes: technology and hardware for the production and processing of plastics and rubber, technology for the pre-processing of materials and recycling technology, extrusion devices and apparatus, blow moulding machinery, thermoplastics machinery and equipment, equipment for the production of polystyrene foams and the processing of thermosetting plastics, welding apparatus, auxiliary equipment, components, dies, control and measuring instruments and automation processes, raw and secondary materials for the production of plastics, the products of plastics and rubber processing, preparatory machinery and facilities for plastic waste products, logistics, and tertiary services for the plastics and rubber industry.

In its debut year, both Azeri and international exhibitors participated in the exhibition. Important companies such as METAK and Sumgayit Technology Park were among the local exhibitors. Even though it was in its first year, the exhibition attracted considerable interest from overseas companies, and now Austrian and German national stands will be present alongside commercial firms at this year’s exhibition. Such companies as Petkim TP, Textima and Zeppelin are on the list of exhibitors, thanks to the work of both the exhibition organiser ITECA Caspian and ITE Group’s network of partners such as GiMA in Germany and EUF in Turkey. Alongside this, the national groups of Austria and Germany, exhibitors at last year’s event, have this year decided to increase their floor space to accommodate even more of their companies and to display their latest technology.The exhibition space occupied by local manufacturers has considerably increased.
